Once you decide that you may want to move forward with Egg Donation, you should first call or fax or
email our Egg Donor Coordinator who will explain the screening and donor selection process to you in detail. |
| If you haven't had all the necessary screening tests, we will arrange them for you. These need to be completed before you begin you treatment cycle, so that any problems or issues that are identified can be solved. Screening tests are critical to ensuring the success of you cycle, and in many cases are also required by the FDA. A list of our current most common tests available here. |
| If you are already a patient at Connecticut Fertility Associates, you can request a personalized password which will enable you to view longer, much more detailed profiles of the donors of you choice. This private access to these profiles will enable you to view these profiles in a thorough and non-pressured manner. |
| If you are not currently a patient here, you must first register with us and have an initial consultation prior to being given access to the profiles for our donor pool. Click here to request an appointment. |
 |
| Your will first consult with our Medical Director, Dr. Michael Doyle. During this consultation, Dr. Doyle will review your medical history, personal goals and expectations, and intended timeline. You will also discuss medications, strategies involving IVF options (including the number of embryos you wish to transfer) and possible alternatives. |
| If you have medical records which you would like Dr. Doyle to review prior to your initial consultation, you may or fax them to us on 203-610-6285 in advance of you first visit. |
| You can also call 203-372-EGGS (3447) or email (Donor Program Coordinator) , (Genetic Counselor), (Administrative Assistant/ Scheduler) or (Financial Coordinator) your preliminary questions about Egg Donors. |
| For intended parents who live outside of the United States, or for other reasons cannot visit us on-site, a phone consultation can also be arranged. |
 |
| Your first visit is crucial to many facets of your care. You will begin by meeting or speaking with Dr. Doyle. During that meeting you will share your goals and expectations, and he will outline the medical treatment plan which is most right for you. You will also meet the support team, which will then step in and assist you in scheduling all necessary clinical and administrative appointments, bloodwork, and tests. These appointments are critical to laying the groundwork for your care, and will enable us to establish clear and achievable timelines and expectations for you. In addition, Dr. Doyle's medical plan must be put into place to allow your insurance company time to approve your cycle before treatment begins. |
| Once your insurance benefits are outlined by one of our benefit specialists, you will undergo a financial consultation to set forth a fee schedule which will be based on your insurance involvement, and the treatment plan which Dr. Doyle recommends. After this financial consultation, you will be required to provide payment in full for any and all services not covered by insurance. After that, all future appointments can be made for you, your egg donor and/or your gestational carrier. Any unanticipated fees which may occur due to medical intervention or additional testing will be due at time of service. |
